TEXAS NATIVE Lela Rose learned to sew from her mother while in college. After seeing a jacket that her mother said was too expensive, the young Lela Rose decided she would make it herself. After graduation, Lela moved to New York City to study fashion at Parsons School of Design, then began her career at the design studio of Christian Francis Roth. In 1998 she created her first signature ready-to-wear collection, Lela Rose.
Today, working from her studio in the heart of New York's Garment District, Lela finds inspiration in materials, photography and architecture. Her feminine collection is intricately detailed with touches of whimsy, and has garnered a following of trendsetters across the country.
Her wedding collection focuses on beautifully embellished fabrics and unique details, which embody elegance and luxury with a nod to the era of glamour. This signature style provides the inspiration for the exclusive footwear and accessories featured in Unforgettable Moments by Lela Rose.
"A customized style allows you to express your personal point of view."
